How We Rate Betting Sites

Every sportsbook and casino review on PhilippinesBetting.ph is scored the same way. This page sets out what we look at, where the information comes from and how it turns into a score, so you can hold any review to it. The result, all seventeen sportsbooks in order, is on our best betting sites page.
The short version: we work from what an operator puts in writing and from what players say about it in public. We don't open accounts, and we don't deposit, withdraw or chat with support to test a site. When a review tells you something, it comes from one of the four sources below, and the review names which one.
What we check
1. The full bonus terms. Not the banner, the terms page behind it. We note the wagering requirement, what it applies to, the minimum odds, the maximum bet while the bonus is running, the expiry date and any games or payment methods that are excluded. Then we do the maths for you. Deposit ₱1,000, get a ₱1,000 bonus at 35x on deposit plus bonus, and you have to place ₱70,000 in bets before any of it can be withdrawn. If a promo is only fair on paper, the review says so.
2. The payment methods the operator publishes. We read the site's banking or payments page and its FAQ, and list what it says it accepts for Filipino players: GCash, Maya, GrabPay, InstaPay or QR Ph, bank transfer, cards and crypto. For each one we copy the minimum and maximum deposit, the withdrawal limits, the processing time and any fee, exactly as the operator states them. These are the operator's own numbers, and we label them that way. Since the BSP's August 2025 order, GCash and Maya no longer link to gambling sites from inside their apps, so we also note whether a site takes GCash in its own cashier, through QR Ph or through a bank page.
3. Football odds margins, where we have worked them out. A bookmaker's margin is the amount its prices add up to above 100%. Take a match priced at 1.87 on both sides of a handicap: 1 ÷ 1.87 is 53.5%, twice over is 107%, so the margin is 7%. Lower is better for you. We work margins out from posted football prices on a stated date and compare them across the sportsbooks we cover. Where we haven't done this for a site, its review says so instead of guessing.
4. Public complaint data. We read what players post about an operator on public complaint boards and review sites: how many complaints there are, what they're about (a withdrawal on hold, a closed account, a voided bet), and whether they were resolved. Each review gives the date we looked. This is other people's experience, not ours, and we present it that way.
What we don't do
We don't test deposits or withdrawals, run the KYC check, time a support chat or install apps. So no review here gives a payout time as something we measured. When a review gives a payout time, it's the time the operator publishes, and if players report something different, the review quotes the complaint data next to it.
How the score works
Five criteria, each scored from 0 to 10 and weighted. The total is shown on the review as a score out of 5.

If a criterion has no data yet, such as a sportsbook we haven't worked out a margin for, we leave it out and the other weights are scaled up to 100%. The review shows which criteria its score is built on.
A big bonus doesn't buy a higher score. A ₱30,000 welcome offer with 40x wagering and a seven-day expiry scores lower than a ₱3,000 one you can realistically clear.
When a review changes
Operators change their terms, drop payment methods and change their promos all the time. When we re-read a site's terms or payment page, or look at its complaint data again, we update the review and its date. If you spot something out of date, tell us. We check it against the operator's own page and fix the review.
