The online Sabong betting markets cater to the local Filipino punters. Here are some of the top options:

  • Backing the Favorite (Meron Chicken) - Wager on the predicted stronger rooster but with lower payouts.
  • The Underdog (Wala Chicken) - Bet on the underdog for a chance at bigger winnings but higher risk.
  • Both Die - A rare draw outcome if both roosters perish during the fight. Very high odds.
  • Full-Time Draw - When roosters can't determine a winner in the allotted time. Also has attractive odds.

Live betting on Sabong

Otherwise known as cock fighting, Sabong is a gambling event localized to the Philippines and dates as far back as 3,000 years ago. While the early cock fighting games required players to visit the arenas to place their bets, Philippine players can now partake in this age-old game from the comfort of their homes, utilizing the latest technology to stream the event live.

Given the simplicity of the game, sabong doesn’t offer a variety of sports betting options, especially for its live bets. However, below are the top betting options available while gambling on Sabong.

  • Match winner: This option is won only if one of the roosters win the game. This option allows players to place wagers on either the stronger or weaker rooster, with the stronger rooster having more odds.
  • Draw: The draw option has two betting lines; a draw will be announced if both roosters die while fighting or if the roosters can not defeat themselves within the allowed time.

Live betting brings an engaging experience and chance to capitalize on momentum shifts.

Popular Sabong tournaments to bet on

Major global and local Philippine cockfighting tournaments that attract sabong betting include:

  • The Derby: The event includes 3-cock derbies that extend well into the late hours of the night, as well as more extensive 7- or 9-cock derbies that can span several days.
  • World Pitmasters Cup: Held in Manila and hosting participants from all over the world, the Pitmasters cup is the most prestigious Sabong tournament in the world, and it consists of nine cockfighting derbies.
  • Master Breeders Cup: Held in the Philippines, Master Breeders cup is streamed online and consists of several cockfighting teams. This cup is usually run for up to 2 months.

Best Sabong Betting Odds

Higher sabong betting odds generally mean bigger potential payouts. Key odds to look for:

  • Sampu Siyam - starting odds of 10%.
  • Walo - Odds increase to 20%.
  • Anim - Odds reach 30%.
  • Doblado - Odds can go up to 100%.

So look for matches with doblado or anim odds for the best sabong betting value.

Payment Methods for Sabong Betting

There are many payment options at online Sabong sites, but the most popular are:

GCash

GCash  is a money transfer app made in the Philippines, so it is undoubtedly the most popular app you can use to make bets here.

Visa

Visa sets the international standard for money transfers, so every bookie in the Philippines will be able to accommodate a Visa  card if that is your chosen method.

PayPal

PayPal  has distinguished itself by being a quality money transfer app that has pioneered the way digital money transfers work. You can’t go wrong with this. So GCash is the top pick for convenience, but various secure payment methods are available.
